Raven Howell
Raven writes stories and poetry for children. Having published several award-winning picture books, she enjoys sharing her love of literature by visiting classrooms and libraries. Raven is Creative & Publishing Advisor for RedClover Reader, Poetry Director for Monster Magnificent, Collaborating Author with Reading is Fundamental (of SoCal), and writes The Book Bug column for Story Monsters Ink magazine. Her poems are found in children’s magazines such as Ladybug, Spider, Highlights for Children, Humpty Dumpty, and Hello Magazine. Her picture book with illustrator Audrey White, Friends Come in All Sizes, rhymes in a gentle theme of inclusivity, diversity, and friendship. Raven enjoys daily yoga and taking a morning hike in N.Y.’s Hudson Valley, where she lives with her family. Favorite season? Summer. Favorite treat? Butterscotch chip cookies warm from the oven. Favorite flower? Zinnia. Favorite place? The beach! Some of her children’s books have been written to benefit autistic and dyslexic communities, and the universal message of love and kindness is close to her heart.
